Russia Ukrainian War: 1991 Redux Tim Brian Tufuga 26th February, 2022.

As the Putin play book unfolds, the Kiev Airport capture confirms the tactical and strategic objective to capture the head of the snake, the Ukrainian Rada, and to once and for all assert a regime change with the removal of the Zelensky administration.

The Putin play book is more expansive than simply changing the world map to include a new Novorossiya State, and to ensure that Ukraine will never become a NATO member Nation. It appears that Putin is challenging NATO directly in what can only be described as the 1991 redux.

The 1991 redux is part two of the end of the Cold War. Part one is the dismantling of the USSR and the Berlin Wall, which meant the dismantling of the Warsaw Pact.

Part Two, has to be the dismantling of the NATO alliance with the direct challenge by Russia via the war with Ukraine. Ukraine is the regional bait for NATO to enter the conflict with Russia directly. NATO will have no other purpose if it does not accept the challenge by Russia. If NATO refrains from confronting Putin directly then they have no purpose in existing since NATO was an alliance created directly to deal with the threat of the Communist regime which no longer exists. Since Russia still is regarded as NATOs enemy it must respond to the present crisis. If NATO does not respond, then NATO is no longer relevant. There is no communist world except for Russia. If NATO doesnt react to Russia now, it will always be considered as an anathema in the modern political world.

Therefore, part two of the end of the cold war era, is the dismantling of NATO. It is a Cold War construct and is no longer relevant today.

This is the Putin legacy for ending the Cold War once and for all.
