Solomon Islands accepts Chinese offer for riot police help, A move on from Sino-Samoan relations and the Asau Military Port Proposal. By Tim Brian Tufuga
Three months earlier..... 100 Australian Federal Police and AFD Soldiers arrived to quell a riot.....soon afterwards, China offered their military police presence which was warmly accepted. Today, the Chinese Government has moved to establish a military presence with the contruction of a military base in the Solomon Islands, signally the end of Australian Hegemonic leadership in the Pacific region. Similarly, in 2018, China also asked to construct a military base at my ancestral Village of Asau, in Samoa, right on my GrandUncle's land in Utuloa, Asau, Savaii, where a unusued Wharf may serve as a Chinese Military base in the near future. At the time, I had written an article on the proposal which I had alerted a school mate of mine, and an ADF Army Colonel of the proposal, through sharing my article. Solomon Islands has moved forward with welcoming China to establish Chinese military presence within the Pacific Region in rolling back the European colonial past from the Pacific region. Earlier in 2021, the Solomon Islands Government had replaced the Australian Federal Police with the Chinese Police and have now moved to welcome into the Island Nation Chinese military presence. The Chinese Strings of pearls policy has become more salient with the present move. Samoa still have an option to move in the same direction with the Solomon Islands, like the Solomon Islands, Samoa's biggest Foreign aid and lender is the Chinese Government. A worry for the EU, NATO, USA and Australia as China has declared themselves has the new OCEANIA Hegemonic power to replace USA and Australia within the region. Everyone is stealing our thunder.....Jamaica has announced their path towards Independence. I was a former Councillor for the Australian Republican Movement. We have layed the foundations for the future of our Nation and now we are lagging behind the rest of the Commonwealth of Nations members who have already moved to Independence. Australia, New Zealand and Canada remain defiant with their Monarchical loyalty to the British Crown, due to the obvious reasons that many Anglo-Saxons have populated these countries and remain, racially and culturally, tied to the apron strings of Mother England. These apron strings also reflects the fear felt by the Anglo-Saxon populations of severing their Eurocentric cultural ties with their British Culture. With a likely victory in Ukraine for Russia, which is only a matter of time, the end game seems clear. A new world order will arise. Russia, China and India will cement the BRICS economic bloc which will circumvent the Western Stock Markets, the implication will create a powerful new world order in which Samoa and the Pacific Forum will be an integral part in this global regional reset and re-design. The Pacific Forum will transition away from their Eurocentric Colonial past and more regionally focused with China becoming the Regional Hegemon. Australia and New Zealand will wane suffice the influence of the Pacific Islander communities within the respective Australian, American and New Zealand communities. The Aborigines of Australia and The Maori of New Zealand will look towards the Pacific Forum and their regional perspective and will find affinity and common cause. India refuses to condemn Russia over the Ukrainian Conflict, strengthening BRICS.
India and China are not always closest of friends. But, it appears that a friend of my friend makes you my friend bodes well with India in the current global condemnation of Russia by the world. In a strange twist of fate. The Indians have sensed a change in the geo-political power centre which will result from the current conflict in Ukraine with India refusing to condemn Russia. It appears that the new world order will soon come into fruition once Ukraine have cemented their EU membership and Russia distances itself even further from Europe in a European cringe and moves further to consolidate their Eastern horizons with China and in the distant wings with India. India has been reticent to commit to the China and Russian alliance due to their close ties with the Commonwealth and USA. However, the economic destiny of India has moved closer to Russia and China rather than towards North America and their former Colonial ties with Britain and Europe.
