It appears that the Ukrainian cockiness in the Kharkov Oblast counter offensive whilst the Russian forces were withdrawing was based purely on the numbers. The Russian defense lines were thinly spread with some parts where Russian platoon of troops were made to face off against an entire Ukrainian Battalion. In one Russian Intelligence Officer's declassified account to Russian media, there was a sitrep report where only 20 Russian Soldiers (Barely a Platoon strength) were confronted by a Ukrainian Battalion strength of over 1,000 Ukrainian soldiers. Obviously, the Russian platoon was forced to retreat. It appears that the Ukrainians are desperate to overrun the Russian positions in there race against time and especially the weather. The Official Decree is in fact larger than the previous partial mobilisation. It is in actual fact mobilising part of the 1 million active servicemen but to also activate the 2 million Reservists. Which means that the Russia will have a choice of deploying UP TO ONE MILLION Active servicemen to Ukraine and not 300,000 as expected. The DPR and LPR will now officially be incorperated into the Russian Armed Forces which means that all their inferior Tanks and IFVs will be replaced with T80s and T90M Tanks and superior state of the art Russian military weaponry. Vostok 2022 pitting the Russian, Chinese and Indian Armies in a mock battle exercises, using live fire targets which were part of the exercise objectives. This is only the second time the Chinese and Russians have engaged in such a large scale military exercise. 2021 was the inaugural Vostok military exercise between two of the three Superpowers refining their military capabilities and showcasing each others military hardware and comparing their military effectiveness on the field of battle. Australian Navy planned visit to the Solomon Islands has been responded with a ban of Australian Naval vessels to the Solomon Islands EEZ by the Solomon Islands Govenrment. The Chinese tension continues to escalate in Taiwan as the Taiwanese shootdown a Chinese drone resulting in the Chinese launching their Aircraft Carrier strike group to the Taiwan Strait. In response, the USN sent two Destroyers into the Taiwan Straits to monitor conditions. Suddenly, China, Australia, Taiwan and USA are suddenly mobilising their military Naval vessels within striking distance of each other.
