The United Nations General Assembly suffering from cognitive dissonance over the recent Ukrainian 2022 Referendas.
Analysing the United Nations General Assembly vote on the rejection of the Four Oblast Referenda, it has presented a peculiar problem for the United Nations, whereas, the 143 affirmative vote of the UN General Assembly the five rejections included the most directly impacted Russian Steppes member Nations namely Russia and Belarus who jointly rejected the UN resolution.
(UN)
Therefore, since the two of the three directly affected neighbouring Nations are the three Nations directly affected by the conflict, two are in accord against Ukraine. That presents a particular problem for the United Nations. No UN member Nation who voted against the four Referenda are within the Russian Steppes, three Nations are.
Russia and Belarus are in accord whereas Ukraine is on its own within the Russian Steppes.
The EU and the UN have a problem since no member is within proximity of the Russian Steppes.
Whereas most members voted to reject the Referenda, most are from smaller populated UN member Nations namely Europe, Africa, Carribbean and Pacific Island Nations. Whereas Sri Lanka, India and China whose populations are significantly more numerous had abstained. This means that the UN does not represent an accurate picture of the world's population distribution in determining the world view on the matter.
Therefore, we may have a real situation whereby the UN and their organisational structure as it stands may be rejected by Russia as one of the five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council by right of their role in defeating global Nazism and Fascism from the last World War, may have to reconsider the relevance of the world body in determining the usefulness of the organisation in objective and relevant decisions in matters that affect a particular region. As in this instance local cultural matters adversely affecting the Russian Steppes is being played out amongst the local population and are being resolved through battlefield diplomacy.
In terms of resolving the current crisis, the obvious solution is a political one and the establishment of a legitimate Referenda has always been the democratic option for resolving the impasse. The problem was always the filibustering obfuscation by the Ukrainian Kiev led regime knowing full well that such a legitimate internally initiated referenda from Kiev would result in an overwhelming victory by the Pro Russian local population. Instead of conducting a legitimate Referenda as was always demanded by the Donbass Region since 2014, the Kiev regime, which had already overthrew violently the democratically elected Yanukovych regime, was dismissed by the Pre EU and NATO propagandists, as being a installed Pro Russian Puppet regime which needed to be overthrown with the help of the Right Sector and the Azov Battalion. With such an illegitimacy there would never be any likelihood of the Kiev Govenrment establsihing a Referenda within the Donbass Regime. Russia therefore preempted the reluctant Ukrainian governemnt and permitted the DPR and LPR to conduct their own respective Referendas which overwhelmingly voted to secede from Ukraine. Again, not surprisingly, Ukraine rejected the vote. Again in 2022 over 8 years after the initial Referenda, the second Referenda has also been rejected by Ukraine, NATO and now the UN. Which now brings us to the relevance of the United Nations as an international Organisation that can resolve disputes. With a very strong disconnection with local political nuances the right for complete strangers to vote on matters that the locals are more familiar with and deciding to reject the locals and their views is tantamount to an absolute cognitive dissonance with regards to internationally formed opinions from that is perceived by the local cultures affected by the local environment.
The United Nations are suffering from cognitive dissonance with regards to the domestic cultural affairs within the Russian Steppes.
